As the holiday season approaches and weather turns cooler, our homes increasingly become our place of sanctuary. It’s the warm haven where we gather with family and friends, where we celebrate special moments both big and small. Home is that special place where your heart feels safe to live, love, grow and just be.
This month I’ve gathered some of my favorite ways to bring warmth into your abode and celebrate the fall season.
Wishing you a happy home and an abundance of blessings this Thanksgiving.
All my best,
Artist: Kimberly Seslar
Kimberly Seslar, our Executive Director of Creative here at Kathy Davis Studios shares her many talents with us in a variety of ways! Back in May, Kimberly’s art show, House of Inspiration, was showcased in our Scatter Joy Gallery. This mixed media exhibit featured decorative house icons with inspirational messages. Some of my favorites were her 3 dimensional houses, which are coated in an encaustic wax and embellished with charms, stitching and heartfelt sayings. Check out Kim’s Etsy store for more of her work.
DIY Gifts: Cinnamon Pear Jam
Some of the best gifts received are ones that are made from the heart. And when they are edible, they’re even better! Homemade jam is a great little gift to give at the holidays, for housewarmings or house parties. Evermine Blog has a yummy recipe for Cinnamon Pear Jam and they also give you the steps for the canning process. Check out this link for some downloads for tags and labels to make these gifts even more personal.
