Welcome to July, one of the hottest months of the year! With our “Stay Cool” theme for the month, we offer some suggestions to help you beat the heat. Relaxing by the sea is one of my favorite ways to spend summer days. This photo of me from a couple of years ago brings back such great memories! Watching the whales and gazing out at the Sea of Cortez along the coast of Mexico was a treat I’ll never forget.

But, there are other ways to chill out…even when you can’t get to the beach! Dive into some of these cool ideas, below, and enjoy the summer days we’ve been waiting for all year!

Product: Namaste Print
Even on the hottest days, it is still possible to stay calm and collected on the inside by practicing meditation or yoga. My Namaste print may get you in the right state of mind. A Hindu word that means “I bow to the divine in you”, the word Namaste is hand-lettered by brush on a cool aqua-blue background. This gentle reminder just might bring a touch of peace to your world.

Charity: Cool Earth
Cool Earth is a charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. They don’t create reserves, put up fences or buy land. Instead, they put indigenous people back in control of the world’s most endangered rainforest. By building better incomes, schools and clinics, they give their partner villages the resources they need to keep their forest intact. Cool Earth is now working alongside 65 rainforest villages throughout the world and at least 90% of each donation goes directly to their projects. To find out more about Cool Earth and how you can get involved, visit their website.
