May 2013 | May is a month for Moms! Sunday, May 12th we celebrate Mother’s Day, so in my monthly column you will find some unique gift ideas and other ways to bring joy to the moms in your life.
A Gift for Mom that Keeps on Giving
This Mother’s Day give mom a place to relax and get inspired, all at the same time. Consider a gift of membership to an Art Museum or Botanical Garden in your area. (Locally in our suburban Philadelphia location, we recommend Longwood Gardens or Chanticleer Garden for nature loving moms, or the Philadelphia Museum of Art or The James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown for those moms with an artistic flair.)
Jewelry: Aria Handmade
Currently being sold in our Kathy Davis Gallery are these colorful eye-catching bracelets. Aria Handmade is an eclectic artisan collection of handcrafted jewelry and apparel inspired through eco-consciousness. Great for Moms (and daughters!) of all ages.

Charity: Center for Parenting Education
The Center for Parenting Education provides valuable educational support resources to Moms and Dads alike to help them in their efforts to raise their children. The center has a very active network of services in our Philadelphia area but also has an astounding outreach nationwide through their website. They also offer a variety of programs and activities that help parents do this important job. Donations can be made online through their website.
