What is your earliest childhood memory about your Mom?
When she was the den mother in my Cub Scout den.
What is the most special moment you shared with your Mom?
We have had some great times together celebrating her birthday. One of my favorite memories was going to a James Taylor concert.
What things did Mom make you do that you didn’t want to do?
She used to make me practice my guitar every morning before school.
When you got into trouble, what did Mom do that helped you learn?
Always be honest—it’s the best policy.
How do you most want to be like your Mom?
My mother is a friend to all, and she loves to be with other people. I hope that I do the same with the new people that I meet.
How has your Mom impacted your life / What do you most admire about her?
She is very creative, and always thinking of new ways to do things. I think I get my creative skills from my mother.
What is your favorite thing to do when you get together?
Shop, talk, and eat—we enjoy just spending the time together.
What makes her better than any other Mom?
She is a great friend to me—more than just a parent.
What’s the best advice your Mom has given you?
Believe in yourself.
