What do you call your “Mom”?
What is your earliest childhood memory about your Mom?
What is the most special moment you shared with your Mom? There are so many special moments! But if I had to choose, I think I would pick the moment she met my first child, Nicole. I’ll never forget the look of amazement and pride in her eyes as she held her for the first time. It was the instant that I could finally grasp the depth of her love for me and for my sisters.
What favorite things did you do with your Mom when you were growing up?
I loved our shopping trips, decorating for the holidays…especially Christmas, watching our favorite TV shows, like “Dallas” and playing family board games on a Saturday night!
How do you most want to be like your Mom?
I honestly can’t remember a time that she wasn’t there for me when I needed. She has always been supportive, yet very conscious of not interfering. I hope I am that kind of Mother to my own children.
How has your Mom impacted your life / What do you most admire about her?
I admire my Mom’s strength and grace in any situation. No matter what challenge comes her way, she always finds a way to handle it well.
What is your favorite thing to do when you get together?
I just love getting together to have coffee and talk.
What makes her better than any other Mom?
She has always put her kids first. She seemed to have endless amounts of energy. She’s always taken pride in a having a clean home and looking presentable. She always made sure we were well dressed from curled hair to polished shoes to the matching dresses she made for my sisters and me each holiday. She gave us a strong faith and great sense of values. She encouraged me to dream. And she has always, always made me feel loved.
