Nothing like a city to give you a jolt of electricity after exploring some wilderness! And Buenos Aires is a major city in every sense of the word! Dubbed “The Paris of South America”, its gigantic and ornate buildings from the 1800’s mingle with run-down dwellings and lovely modern structures.

There are many distinct districts or neighborhoods, each with an appeal of its own, from artsy Palermo Soho to Ricoletta with amazing churches and a cemetery unlike any other I have seen. Evita is buried here, yet her presence still dominates the hearts of many in this city. I can hardly do justice to Buenos Aires in such a short post, but sharing some of my favorite pics, from street art in San Telmo, to colorful homes in La Boca to the majestic Colon Theater. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the large steel flower sculpture, Floralis Genérica, that blossoms towards the sky! We stayed in the city for more than a week while I attended an amazing workshop that I will tell you about next!

I didn’t see that particular street art in San Telmo Kathy, darn it!! We were 15 days in Buenos Aries and still had so much more to see. We were lucky to get to experience the beauty of BA as it slowly revealed itself. Loved meeting two great people, you and Peter. xxC
